Notice on Organizing Participation in the 2025 National "Walking the Grand Canal" Fitness Walk Main Venue Activity

To:

All Town (Subdistrict) and Development Zone Trade Union Councils,

To actively respond to the national fitness initiative, inspire enthusiasm for exercise among residents along the Grand Canal, and promote the cultural heritage of the canal, in accordance with the deployment requirements of the county Party committee and government’s Implementation Plan for the 2025 National "Walking the Grand Canal" Fitness Walk Main Venue Activity, relevant matters regarding organizing county-wide employees to participate in the event are hereby notified as follows:

I. Participants

Employees from government agencies, enterprises, and institutions within towns (subdistricts) and development zones.

II. Assembly Time and Location

Time: Before 7:30 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Location: Assemble at the Weishan County Sports Stadium, then proceed in formation to the main venue at Weishan Lake National Wetland Park.

III. Event Time and Route

Time: 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Route:

Start at the entrance of Weishan Lake National Wetland Park.

Proceed east to the West Lake Embankment Road.

Head north along the West Lake Embankment Road to Binhu Road.

Turn west along Binhu Road to Weishan Lake Avenue.

Walk south along Weishan Lake Avenue back to the entrance of Weishan Lake National Wetland Park.

IV. Requirements

Quota Allocation

Town (subdistrict) and development zone trade union councils shall organize employees from local agencies, enterprises, and institutions to participate. Specific quotas are detailed in Attachment 1.

Participants must be in good health and physically fit for the activity.

Each town shall designate 1 team leader (preferably the trade union chairperson) responsible for organizing participants, on-site coordination, and safety management.

Registration Deadline

Submit participant lists by town/subdistrict unit. Fill out the Fitness Walk Registration Form (Attachment 2).

Email electronic and scanned stamped copies of Attachments 1 and 2 to the county trade union council by 17:00 on April 18, 2025.

Final assembly time and location are subject to the notice from Weishan County’s Executive Support Leadership Group for the 2025 National "Walking the Grand Canal" Fitness Walk Main Venue Activity.
